The Major Arcana: These 22 cards represent significant life lessons, major turning points, and universal themes. Each card carries a powerful energy and speaks to the broader journey of the self.

The Major Arcana Tarot Cards

The Major Arcana, also known as the “trump cards,” represent significant life events, lessons, and archetypal themes. They depict a journey of spiritual self-awareness and understanding. Here they are in their traditional order:

- Represents new beginnings, innocence, spontaneity, faith, and the unknown journey. The Fool is often depicted as a youth stepping off a cliff, signifying a leap of faith into the unknown. It encourages embracing new experiences with an open heart and a sense of wonder.
I. The Magician

II. The High Priestess
- Represents intuition, mystery, unconscious knowledge, secrets, and the divine feminine. She sits before a veil, guarding hidden wisdom and encouraging introspection and listening to one’s inner voice.
III. The Empress
- Symbolizes femininity, nurturing, abundance, fertility, creativity, and the beauty of nature. She is a figure of maternal love, sensuality, and earthly pleasures.
IV. The Emperor
- Represents authority, structure, stability, control, and the masculine principle. He is a figure of leadership, order, and worldly power, emphasizing logic and reason.
V. The Hierophant
- Symbolizes tradition, convention, institutions, spiritual guidance, and education. He is a bridge between the divine and the mundane, often representing established beliefs and group identity.
VI. The Lovers
- Represents relationships, choices, union, harmony, and alignment of values. This card often signifies a significant decision related to love, partnerships, or personal beliefs.

XVII. The Star
- Symbolizes hope, inspiration, faith, healing, and serenity. After the storm of The Tower, The Star offers a sense of peace, guidance, and renewed optimism.
XVIII. The Moon
- Represents illusion, fear, anxiety, the subconscious, and intuition. The Moon illuminates the hidden aspects of the self and the path through uncertainty.
XIX. The Sun
